About
I was born in Prestonsburg, KY, and reared in southernmost Ohio. The two great passions of my life are preaching and writing. I began preaching while still in high school. A graduate of Kentucky Christian College and Lincoln Christian Seminary, I’ve served churches in several states. Currently, I’m preaching minister with North Side Christian Church, Xenia, Ohio. The published author of three sermon collections and numerous articles for Christian and secular publications, I’ve a new book out, Superman on Earth: Reflections of a Fan.
Since childhood, I’ve devoured comic books, being particularly fond of Superman. I’m a hiker, an actor, a reader, a lover of old movies, country music, and blueberry pancakes.
Pictured from back row, middle, going counter-clockwise: Me, my wife Barb, daughter Ruth, daughter-in-grace Jamie, her husband and our son, Alexander. In the lower right corner, it’s Kaiya the Wonder Dog! Not pictured, unfortunately, is our grandson, Will, born to Alex and Jamie, 8/21/09. On 1/21/11, they welcomed twin boys, Cole and Luke, into the world.
Anything else you want to know, just ask!

OK, I gotta say it, I had no idea you had your own website. This is about one of the coolest things ever. I need to find the time to do some more reading, but supper just came in the door, I’ll be back. TTYS.
Dan.

P.S. I had a stick horse .
Love your blog and your Breakpoint commentary on “Captain America.” I’m old enough to remember the smell of the ink as I read the comic books (as new publications, not ‘vintage’ editions) that introduced those “might for right” superheroes. Just so you know, a link to your CA column has been submitted to Good News Now (http://GoodNewsNow.com/). WELL DONE!
